1974 - Jaguar Type-E coupé 1974 - Jaguar Type-E V12 coupé The culmination of an automotive myth with an exceptional engine French registration Chassis n°1S73819 Engine n°7S7800SA - Ultimate, most advanced series, with 2+2 coupé bodywork - Rare mechanical gearbox and spoked wheels - 1st hand in the same family from the start! - Excellent condition with wonderfully patinated leather upholstery - Matching numbers car with 62,000 kms on the clock - Complete history file with notebook and manuals Our Jaguar Type E V12 2+2 coupé is simply extraordinary. On the one hand, it features Jaguar's original 4-speed manual gearbox and beautiful spoked wheels, which give it a more modern look than the sheet-metal hubcaps, while preserving a classic dimension in keeping with the car's many chrome accents. What's more, it benefits from an exceptional history, having been kept in the same family from the outset. Indeed, ordered new by one of the founders of a major food retail group from his son-in-law, a Jaguar dealer, it was the latter who recovered the car from his personal collection on the death of his father-in-law, and it is his children who are parting with it today, more than 51 years after it was delivered to their grandfather in January 1973. Because of this particular history, and in particular the existence of a Jaguar agent in the family, this Jaguar E-type has been particularly well cared for. In fact, the file is very comprehensive, including numerous invoices from the car's first year on the road, as well as the manuals and service booklet, the original red bar, and even the original registration document, which has never been transferred and is accompanied by a notarized attestation from the new owner. This E-type is thus in particularly attractive condition. The paintwork, which was redone in 2016 in the original Silver Grey shade, is flawless. The re-chromed wheels are sparkling. And in the cabin, the Cinnamon leather upholstery is very well preserved, showing a slight patina, a little more pronounced on the front seats, which is absolutely splendid. As for the rest, apart from a few recent carpets, the level of preservation is excellent. The whole is coherent and enhances its beautiful configuration. Mechanically, this E-type 3 Series works perfectly. In fact, our test drive really surprised us, reminding us of the real dynamic capabilities of this model, which is certainly heir to a line of renowned sports cars, but is nonetheless more GT-oriented. The engine is, of course, the original one, and the car has just under 62,000 kms on the clock - the ideal mileage, neither too low nor too high. To complete the picture, this Type-E is also fitted with an all-stainless steel exhaust system, giving it a particularly pleasant sound in keeping with its inimitable style. Our Jaguar Type-E V12 coupé has everything it takes to seduce the most demanding collectors. It's a "matching numbers" model, with a clear and well-documented history, in excellent condition, in a superb livery and benefiting from the best configuration with its manual gearbox, spoked wheels and stainless steel styling. It does justice to the myth it represents, and is undoubtedly a safe bet both in use and as a collector's item!
