1971 - PORSCHE 911 2.2L T TARGA - Lot 3
1971 - PORSCHE 911 2.2L T TARGA French registration Chassis n°9111110565 Engine no. 6133645 - THE iconic, timeless sports car in its desirable Targa version - History since new, stamped service history and on-board manuals - Cosmetic modifications, 2.4L T engine and 5-speed 915-type gearbox - recent major overhaul, very sound bodywork and beautiful "Tangerine" paintwork The car presented is a 911 2.2L T Targa, which was sold new in North Carolina, USA, on December 12, 1970, as indicated by its original service book, stamped until 1979. From 1973 to 1976, maintenance was carried out by the network in Texas, then in 1979 in Arkansas. An American invoice from that year indicates that the engine was rebuilt and the block replaced by a 2.4-liter T (type 911/91). From 1980 to 1989, a notebook dutifully filled in by the owner provides information on mileage, fuel fill-ups and repairs carried out. In 2008, the car was exported from Florida by a French professional, who placed it under the hammer of Maître Poulain in 2009, from whom the current owner purchased it. A file of invoices accompanies the car. For a sportier look, the aerodynamic spoiler is from the 911 E and F series of 1972 and 1973, and the four fenders are 1976 (2.7 RS), as are the wheels (7 and 8 inches wide). The 5-speed gearbox is a 915. The car has been at Nourry Expérience in Bourth for gearbox rebuilding, and at Porsche Distribution in Versailles. The paintwork, which dates from 2009, has a few small chips that can easily be touched up, and the original black vinyl interior is in fair condition. In March 2024, this classic 911 was entrusted to the LR Motors workshop for a complete overhaul of the carburetors, an engine oil and filter change, replacement of the spark plugs, alternator and belt, repair of the dashboard dipstick, installation of new universal joint boots, overhaul of the electrical system, sandblasting of the turbine and air filters, and engine compressions... It's a car ready to drive. This is an attractive and fun Porsche 911 Targa, modified but very affordable!
