Consequently, vintage Hermès crocodile bags are exempt from the CIC requirement, either due to their Appendix B status or pursuant to Article 62.4 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 865/2006 of May 4, 2006” (CITES ministerial editorial dated June 18, 2018, regarding the sale of vintage Hermès bags without a CITES certificate). A re-export certificate is required for any shipment out of the EU. An import permit may be required in the third-country of destination if that country’s national regulations so provide. The purchaser is responsible for obtaining these documents.
