Inspired by the Vespa, it quickly became a symbol of la Dolce Vita, crisscrossing the narrow streets of Italian cities and seaside resorts thanks to its compact size, practicality, and timeless charm. In 2007, Piaggio relaunched the Calessino as a limited edition of just 999 units, produced in collaboration with the Italian engine manufacturer Lombardini. Powered by a 422 cm³ single-cylinder diesel engine producing 7.5 ch, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this three-wheeler offers a unique driving experience, ideal for open-air rides. The vehicle shown here is number 85 out of 999 in this special series. It has just under 100 km on the odometer, which explains why it is in near-new condition. Its appearance, characteristic of the series to which it belongs, is particularly elegant, with its blue body paired with white faux-leather upholstery, doors, and a white waterproof canvas top.
